Mei-Hsin Chen

Mei-Hsin Chen was awarded a doctoral degree in Art History from the University of Navarra (Spain). With financial support from the National Science Council of Taiwan, she undertook a postdoctoral fellowship at the Department of Higher Education of the Ministry of Education of Taiwan. In this role, she conducted research and served as a coordinator for the "Project for Enhancing the University Fundamental Teaching Program," an initiative dedicated to advancing and enhancing humanistic teaching in Taiwanese universities.

She held the position of Associate Professor at the School of Fine Arts of Taipei National University of the Arts and at the College of Design of Shih Chien University in Taipei. She served as International Mobility Director at the ISSA School of Applied Management of the University of Navarra, where she was responsible for the promotion and participation in numerous European Projects of Educational Innovation, funded by the European Erasmus+ Programme. She currently serves as Associate Professor at the School of Applied Management and the School of Architecture at the University of Navarra, and is a member of the "Aesthetics and Contemporary Art Research Group" at the same institution.

Throughout her professional career as a researcher, she has developed a line of research focused on the concept of "ecological niche" in art and design. This line of research examines the interconnections and intellectual and emotional implications of artistic and design creativity. Building on this foundational research, she has developed a particular interest in the role of art and design as active agents of change in human ecology, a perspective that also extends to the sphere of management. She has published a number of articles, books, and book chapters that are indexed within the framework of the aforementioned lines of research.
